The Polytechnic Social Weekend

Lab Enterprises sponsored this years social weekend at The Malawi Polytechnic. 50 Caps and 50 T shirts were given out to the students.

Lab Enterprises sponsored Miss Poly 2006 event, here is a profile of Dorisa Gondwe, who shined and came out as the queen of the Polytechnic.

Course: Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology at the Malawi Polytechnic.
Role Model: My Mum, She has always been there for me though thick and thin. I really love her.
Favourite Food: Chips and Fish with a dash of Vegetable Salad.
Favourite Colours: Purple and Pink
Future Plans: I want to be a successful Computer Programmer.
Reason For Contesting in Miss Poly: I knew I was capable of winning and had the courage and determination which unfortunately, most people dont have. These are very essential in everyday life.
Do you have any Plans of ever participating for Miss Malawi: Well , I really dont wish to, mainly because my mum can never give me approval. Secondly, being Miss Malawi comes with many responsibilities and I dont think I would handle it now that am in College.
What is your normal day like: First thing I do when i wake up is give thanks to God with a short prayer. I then get ready for school. School always takes much of my day but I always have time to relax and chat with my room mates in the evening.
Religion: Roman Catholic
Effect of being Miss Poly on your School work: I take school first and it doesnt affect my school life in any way.
A bit about your family: Am the first born in a family of three kids. I live with my Mum in Mzuzu.
